Testing designs for characters posts

This is a design I came up with for Chris Smith’s character. This is just an example of what can be done. Chris, if you like it we can keep it and use it…if not PM me some suggestions at Wild_Gazebo and I will try to adjust it to something that you would like and that represents your character well.

Anyone is more than welcome to design their own versions. I just ask that we are able to read some of the formatting we will be using. So that we should be able to tell when things are bolded. We should be able to tell when you are using italics and other script modifications.

And the tricky one sometimes is the block quote option that will always default grey diminished with a script modification. We should get as close to good readability as possible…otherwise it will just make things difficult.

So, if you have any ideas for how you would like your character to be displayed in your posts: get the info to me so I can work at building them before we start the game. Try to have fun with it…try to make it reflect your character…and by all means don’t worry too much about it.

The actual code for displaying this box for Chris’s example post is

<div class="smith">put your text here</div>

It’s pretty simple. I will keep examples on this page for reference in case you do forget though.

Well, how about this one for Josh’s character? Not sure…is it too much…not enough?

Tell me what you think.

Does Bold Work?

What about italics?

Block quote should work really well.

Hopefully.

Block quotes will look like this should we use them for something. Dwayne, Did you want your text to be purple? I actually chose that colour first for the border and the text but liked the maroon better afterward. Your choice though.

Welcome to the ominous range of the Spinereach mountains. Where the acrid stench of long forgotten battles never leaves the pores of this haunted granite. Ripping into the sky as if the earth were waging war with the heavens, the Spinereach mountains possess few navigable passes open to man and beast. It will be only through determination and perseverance that any man see the steel grey sky of the Barrens of Lodd beyond the jagged wall of the Spinereach mountains.

Don’t be fooled by the mundane nature of these cliffs. For they have eyes and claws. and should you not respect the ways of the people of the hills, this mountain will cast you down like a discarded carcass.
